Adults also benefit from practicing mindfulness meditation and being more mindful in their everyday life. It helps people to concentrate better, improves their cognitive function, reduces anxiety, stress and helps deal with over stimulation.

What is mindfulness? Mindfulness is awareness of the present moment. It is a practice of paying attention purposefully to the present moment, and accepting it without judgment. Clinical studies show that mindfulness is a very powerful tool, but at the same time, it is simple. It gives the possibility to be fully engaged and in the moment, at multiple levels, physically, mentally and emotionally.

Although being mindful is simple, it is not easy to be mindful all the time. It takes practice and we can help you! We are just finishing a 6 week mindfulness meditation session here at Meadowlands Physiotherapy and Absolute Pilates. The feedback has been great, so we are excited to be offering another session!
